I've identified a gap in our current product lineup, and I believe there's a valuable opportunity to address it. Specifically, we lack a competitive lightweight running shoe that incorporates supercritical foam along with a carbon fiber plate for optimal energy return. This presents an exciting opportunity for us to expand our product range and cater to a broader audience. I presented this innovative concept to our buyers to tap into this emerging category in the running shoe market.

During the tooling design phase, I began by experimenting with the placement of rubber components. The primary objective was to reduce the pieces and thickness of the rubber to achieve a lightweight design. Additionally, incorporating lines on the bottom of the sole added a sense of speed to the overall look. Once the design was finalized, I took the lead in managing the development process for creating the sole design, which involved effective communication with the factory.

I've also created a running shoe for entry-level users, featuring a knitted upper and a more subtle, less aggressive aesthetic.
